  83. <h1>Create a PIN and Authenticate with a Passcode (Tokencode Screen)</h1>
  84. <p>If your token requires a PIN, you normally create your PIN during your 
  85.  first RSA SecurID authentication. </p>
  86. <p>Use the following procedure if the SecurID desktop application displays 
  87.  the Tokencode screen and your VPN client application requests a passcode 
  88.  (or a PIN and tokencode).</p>
  89. <p class=Note><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Note:</B></span> Your user name 
  90.  is normally the user name that you use to log on to your desktop.</p>
  91. <p class=p style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>To 
  92.  complete first-time authentication:</B></span></p>

  94.     <li class=p><p>Start the SecurID desktop application on your desktop.

  96.     The Tokencode screen is displayed.</p></li>
  97.     <li class=p><p>Connect to your VPN client.</p></li>
  98.     <li class=p><p>In the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>User Name</B></span> 
  99.  field, enter the user name that your administrator assigned. <br>
  100.     You are prompted for a passcode.</p></li>
  101.     <li class=p><p>In the SecurID desktop application, click the <span 
  102.  style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Copy</B></span> button to copy the tokencode.</p></li>
  103.     <li class=p><p>Return to the VPN client and paste the tokencode in 
  104.  the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Passcode</B></span> field. <br>
  105.     You are prompted to create a PIN.</p></li>
  106.     <li class=p><p>Follow the prompts to create and confirm your PIN.<br>
  107.     Use the PIN format that your administrator specified. Memorize your 
  108.  PIN. After you create your PIN, you are prompted for a new passcode. </p></li>
  109.     <li class=p><p>Enter your PIN in the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Passcode</B></span> 
  110.  field.</p></li>

  112.  the tokencode to change. After the tokencode changes, click the <span 
  113.  style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Copy</B></span> button to copy the tokencode.</p></li>
  114.     <li class=p><p>Return to the VPN client. Paste the tokencode next to 
  115.  your PIN. Click <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>OK </B></span>to submit your
