  11. The "csh_init" file is a collection of C shell commands and alias
  12. definitions that are shown throughout the book.  Most of these are also
  13. available as Bourne-type shell functions in the "sh_init" file.

  15. In its distribution form, each set of commands is commented out and
  16. needs to be explicitly uncommented before you can use them; this is
  17. because many of the definitions override or conflict with one another.
  18. You can copy or "source" the file into your shell setup file, and then
  19. enable the definitions that you want.
