  13. Apple Telecom is the software that is needed to use an Apple Express
  14. Modem, GeoPort Telephone Adapter Pod, or the GeoPort Internal Comm
  15. Slot modem.  Although Apple Telecom 3.1.3 has not been modified since
  16. the release of Mac OS 7.5, it was tested for compatibility with Mac OS
  17. 8.5. Apple Telecom software continues to provide basic modem
  18. functionality for GeoPort modems.

  20. Instructions:
  21. This software consists of eight self-mounting Disk Copy compressed
  22. image (.smi) files. Download this software to your hard drive and then
  23. open all eight disk images. You do not need Disk Copy to access .smi
  24. files.

  29. - The computer may freeze when playing a MIDI file while there is an
  30. active GeoPort modem connection.  Installing QuickTime 3.0 and turning
  31. off virtual memory may improve stability when playing a MIDI file.

  33. - Pulse dialing may not dial the correct number.  As a possible work
  34. around, use touch tone dialing or manual dialing.
  35.  
  36. - Although it may work, Apple Phone is not supported.  Only the data
  37. and fax capabilities are supported.  Apple recommends using the Custom
  38. Install feature in order to omit the installation of the Apple Phone
  39. software.
