  9. This software is available as four self-extracting archives
  10. of Disk Copy 1440K disk images.  To use, download, double-
  11. click the downloaded file (this decompresses it), and use
  12. Disk Copy to create the disks.

  24. This release of Open Transport is subject to the terms and
  25. conditions of the license agreement that accompanies the
  26. software in the file "LICENSE."  By downloading the software
  27. you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the

  30. Open Transport is designed to work on Mac OS-compatible
  31. computers with a Motorola 68030 or 68040 family
  32. microprocessor, or a PowerPC 601, 603(e), or 604
  33. microprocessor. You should use system software version
  34. 7.5.3, 7.5.5 or later with Open Transport, although the
  35. earlier system software versions 7.1, 7.1.1 and 7.1.2
  36. releases are also compatible.

  38. Open Transport 1.1.1 can be used on the Performa and Power
  39. Macintosh 52xx, 53xx, 62xx and 63xx product lines.  When you
  40. install OT1.1.1 on a 52xx, 53xx, 62xx and 63xx model you may
  41. get a dialog box indicating a hardware issue was detected. 
  42. If this alert is displayed, Open Transport cannot be
  43. installed or loaded until the Cache/ROM DIMM is replaced.
  44. Your computer will continue to run classic networking.  The
  45. required repairs are covered under the Apple repair
  46. extension program.  Please contact an Apple-authorized
  47. service provider to have your computer repaired.

  49. Open Transport requires a minimum of 5 MB of RAM (68030 or
  50. 68040 computers) or 8 MB of RAM (PowerPC-based computers).
  51. Open Transport memory requirements are based on total system
  52. memory including virtual memory, minus the size of any RAM
  53. disk and disk cache you're using.
