  9. This CON hack will create extra jibs and blood flying when every a liz trooper
  10. dude is hit by dukes gun.  It creates alot of extra blood.

  12. Installation and startup
  13. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

  15. 1. Unzip all the files in the archive to the DUKE3D game directory.
  16.  
  17. 2. Run gore.bat
  18.

  21. 3. Duke3d /Xgoregame.con (no space between the X and goregame.con)

  26. You may edit goregame.con and change the amount of jibs and blood that flies
  27. out by looking just after the include statments at the beginning of the file
  28. and changing the numbers of the JIBSX to either higher or lower values.

  32. This file will not alter your original game in any way, in fact, I wrote this
  33. patch specifically to demonstrate alternative methods for loading and running
  34. hacked CON files.  You do not need to rename or backup anything, nothing will
  35. of the original game is changed or altered.  To run the original game just
  36. do not use the command line /Xgoregame.con parameter.  Remember, in DukeMatch
  37. games EVERYBODY MUST USE THE SAME CON FILES.

  42. This idea of extra gore is nothing new.  There are a few other CON patches
  43. around the web that employ the same idea, since I use this as an example, it
  44. is rather simple.  If you like, you may edit the goregame.con file and add
  45. this to all the actors that make the BAD guys and have them all spewing blood
  46. and guts.
