  6. NOTE: This program needs the file vbrun300.dll. (Usually it 
  7. should be in your Windows System Directory or in your path.) It 
  8. does not come with this program because most people will 
  9. already have it and it takes too long to download. If you don't 
  10. have it, you will need to download it to use this program and 
  11. the many other new Visual Basic Programs that are coming from 
  12. Visual Basic 3.

  14. This program is designed to help a user monitor many system 
  15. resources at all times and to combine some utilities that you 
  16. may already use. (It will monitor up to six drives)
  17.  
  18. Installation: 
  19.  
  20. Put vbsys.dll and threed.vbx in your windows/system directory, 
  21. (Use the newest versions) (If using vbsys Standard version 
  22. also, it shares the same files except the .exe and the .hlp 
  23. files.), and put vbsysbar.exe anywhere you want. Put 
  24. vbsysbar.hlp in the same directory as vbsysbar.exe or in your 
  25. path. (If you don't need the help file later, you can delete it 
  26. to save disk space.) When you run the program, you should not 
  27. select minimized or maximized, it should be run "NORMAL". For 
  28. more information, double click on the vbsysbar.hlp file from 
  29. file manager or run VBSysbar.exe, click anywhere on the running 
  30. VBSysBar, and press F1 to run the help file. PC Tools users 
  31. should search the help file for "PC Tools" for more info.

  108. Known Problems:

  110.     A Pentium will appear as a 486. The method that 
  111. Microsoft suggests to identify CPU types does not include the 
  112. Pentium. When one appears I will fix it.
  113.  
  114.         If you are using Windows for Workgroups 3.11, It will 
  115. still show up as version 3.10. This is due to an internal 
  116. setting IN Windows for Workgroups. It will probably be 
  117. corrected in the future.

  119. Future releases: There is really nothing PLANNED at this time, 
  120. I may add more things later if I feel it will improve it, but 
  121. it's getting hard to keep the size of the display down as I add 
  122. things which defeats the purpose of this utility which is to 
  123. Monitor things and stay out of the way.

  125. I hope you find this program as useful as I do. It is released 
  126. as SHAREWARE. It does NOT have any "nag" screens. You can use 
  127. it for thirty days as long as you agree that I am not 
  128. responsible for anything directly or indirectly related to 
  129. using this program. After that time, either delete the program 
  130. or send the nominal fee of just $5.00 to help cover costs, make 
  131. you feel better, and to help keep the shareware concept going, 
  132. (It takes a lot of time to write these programs and do the 
  133. research. I know most people don't like to pay for shareware, 
  134. that's why it's only $5.00. If you use it every day it IS 
  135. certainly worth $5.00.) After payment, I will send you the 
  136. current version which will include the ability to save all 
  137. settings in an .ini file so it will always come up the way you 
  138. want, such as which drives, where display is on screen, and 
  139. colors. If you have any minor revision requests, I'll try to 
  140. add it to your version if I can. If a minor update follows I'll 
  141. try to get it to you free of charge. Future major updates if 
  142. any after registration for cost: $2.50-Mail $1.00-Compuserve

  145. There is still the standard version available that displays in 
  146. one corner.  Shareware version is available on CIS or AOL and 
  147. is titled VBSys; The .zip file should be VBSysxxx.zip. 
  148. Registration for that version is also only $5 or $7.50 for both 
  149. versions.
