  10. Thank you for participating in the McAfee VIRUSCAN 2.0 Public
  11. Beta Program.  These guidelines are provided to give you an
  12. overview of the features of the product and a direction for
  13. testing, and include the following information

  23. This product is Beta software, and as such, is not at production
  24. quality levels.  It is not intended for daily use, and should not
  25. be used as the sole source of anti-virus protection for your
  26. system.  In no event shall McAfee Inc. be responsible for any
  27. damages whatsoever arising out of the use or inability to use
  28. this product.

  31. BETA RELEASE SCHEDULE
  32. =====================
  33. Over the next few weeks, there will be several updates to the
  34. Beta release to fix known problems.  Each new release will be
  35. placed on the McAfee BBS with a change in the release letter,
  36. starting with release A, continuing on to release B, C, etc.
  37. A new virus data file will also be included with each release.
  38. Please log on every few days to update your copy of the Beta
  39. release to the latest version.

  42. REPORTING FEEDBACK

  44. Version 2.0 of VIRUSCAN has changed significantly in order to
  45. meet customer needs and provide faster and more accurate
  46. scanning capabilities.

  48. We welcome your feedback on the product and the changes that
  49. have been made.  Though we cannot respond to all suggestions
  50. individually, we will read and review each one, and we are
  51. eager to hear what you have to say.  Please send us your

  74. Due to the nature of anti-virus software, the slight chance exists
  75. that a virus may be reported in a file that is not infected by that
  76. virus.

  78. If you receive a report of a virus infection which you believe may
  79. be in error, please contact us by one of the methods listed above.
  80. Include in any correspondence your name, address, daytime telephone
  81. number, and electronic mail address, if any.

  83. The McAfee BBS
  84. --------------
  85. A mail account has been set up on the McAfee BBS to receive comments
  86. and problem reports about the Beta.  The user name is
  87. "VS20BETA SUPPORT".  If you have any comments or questions about the
  88. Beta release, please send mail to this account.  If you have a
  89. problem report, feel free to send mail to this account, but please
  90. either include a filled out copy of the bug report form in your mail
  91. or send one by one of the other methods shown above as well, so that
  92. we have all the information we need to properly investigate the problem.
