Transcription: In 1889 Eastman and a research associate perfected a flexible film that was transparent. This film became the basis for Edison's invention of the motion picture camera and projector. Thanks to Edison's later addition of sound to motion pictures, George Eastman's voice was recorded at a dinner honoring the talking picture. I am happy to greet this gathering of motion picture engineers. It is a great satisfaction to be able able to speak to you through the medium of this wonderful invention, the talking cell.
