I accept -NO- responsibilty for how
the following information is used.
Information about boxes not mentioned
would be appreciated...
BLUE HELL --- 604/926 8192

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
BLACK Box >A resister and a switch
-----------'installed in your phone,
so that when a person calls you at a
prearragned time, lift the receiver,
drop it and pick it up, then flip on
the switch as fast as possible, and
he will not be charged for the call
to your house.
BLUE Box >produces fifteen (15) tones
----------'used by an operator to con-
ect calls. Standard dialing tones
have been enhanced to produce multi-
frequency equivilents. In addition
there are 'KP', 'K2', 'ST', and 'DS'
keys.
To use Blue Boxing hardware or
software you will need a very crisp
and clear sounding phone line.
To make a long-distance call with
the Blue Box dial the directory ass-
istance for a certain province (ex:
Ontario - 416/555-1212). While it
rings play the 'DS' loudly into the
handpeice. If you hear an operator
hang up! If you are successful you
should hear a quiet click followed by
a quiet >beep<; you have now become
an operator!
To dial play the 'KP' tone or 'K2'
if you are dialing overseas. Then
enter the area code and phone number.
Once you are done press 'DS', you
should be back at the >beep< prompt.
CHEESE Box >This box will make your
------------'phone line untracable.
When a trace is switched onto your
line this box will reroute the signal
to some other location.
GREY Box >This box detects traces on
----------'your phone line (2000hz).
RED Box >The box emulates the sounds
---------'that an operator hears when
you pump money into a payphone.
SILVER Box >Your phone originaly had
------------'sixteen (16) keys, 0-9,
'#', '*', 'A', 'B', 'C', and 'D'.
Keys A-D are Telco override tones and
are used to set up your own private
loops. You can do this by calling
directory assisstance and playing 'D'.
This will disconnect the operator;
you should hear a pulsing tone. Dial
'7' and wait for a friend to do the
same, but instead of pressing '7' he
should dial '6'.
TAN Box >This box is used to convert
---------'ASCII to Telex code. In
good words, emulate a Telex.
WHITE Box >A portable keypad which
-----------'has ALL sixteen (16) keys.
