First you cut the cord to the handset (the coily one) off close to the handset.
Easy? ok. Then Throw the fucking handset out. Next take the coily cord and you
want to strip the wire down about three inches. Now you should have like four
three inch wires hanging out. The wires you will need are usually the middle
two. Take these wires and splice some of your extra wire onto them. ok. Now the
interesting part. Take the two long pieces of the extra wire you spliced on, and
connect the other ends of those to the two wire connectors that the computer
connects to the internal speaker through. This sends the speaker output through
the phone. Now, plug the phone into the RJ11 wall jack. Grab another phone in
the house. Load up the enclosed T-GENxx.EXE and produce a tone, listening on the
other phone to see if the tone is passed through the phone/MoRGUEBox. If it
is audible, good job. If not, try using other combinations of the four wires in
the coily cord.
Chapter III.
────────────
Using your MoRGUE-Box
A MoRGUE-Box has many uses. First being the usage of a 2600hz tone for many
wonderful effects. The rest are simple. Read through some phreaking guides for
some tones and durations to produce desired effects. Not much more to say.
Just don't get caught.
Chapter IV.
───────────
ToneGen v1.x Instructions/Documentation
ToneGen is a wonderful little util I created for use with the MoRGUE-Box.
This program is capable of producing any tone between 37hz and 65535hz, with
a duration anywhere from .0000000001.. 18ths of a second to 32767 18ths of a
second. Read further for basics.
Duration:
1 = 1/18 Sec.
18 = 1 sec.
0.0000559 = 1 msec (Millisecond)
Milliseconds are useful for REDBOX tones..
Tones:
37hz up to about 13000hz are audible, above that are out of range
Sorry, 37 is as low as QuickBasic Allows! Maybe in a future Version.
Not much more to say.. Dont get caught. hehehe
Future Versions:
As for an update, I'm working on learning some TP. Hopefully this will
allow multiple tones played simultaneously. If so, redbox support will be
built in. For suggestions/Donations :), E-Mail me on ChaoTic Behavior,
Ionic Destruction, or any Good LD Board. Watch for v2.0 written in TP 7.0.
Expected Features for 2.0
■ SB/Adlib Support
■ Real Graphics
■ Mouse Support (Why?)
■ Comm routines (Sends tones through modem!)
For the source code in .BAS (ACK!) leave me a note. ANyone who thinks they
could write a better program in C, Pascal, or Assembler, write it and U/L
it to any MoRGUE Board.
-Acidic Nature
Like the new text viewer? I don't. Write one for morgue with customizable ansi
headers and footers, and we will be infinitely in debt to you. You may be added
to our new programming division. u/l it to the world HQ or any site.
