  7. The Crimson Box is very simple device
  8. that will allow you to put someone on
  9. hold or make your fone busy with a
  10. large amount of ease. You flip a switch
  11. and the person can't hear you talking.
  12. Flip it back and everything is peechy.

  18. (1) 100 ohm or less resistor
  19. (1) SPDT toggle switch, On-On
  20. (3) feet of good wire
  21. Wire cutters
  22. Solder and soldering iron

  28. First I will give you the schematic and
  29. then I will explain what the hell is
  30. going on.

  42. Ok. The '///' is the resistor. And
  43. '1 2 3' is the switch where the numbers
  44. are the poles on the switch. Notice you
  45. leave the black and yellow wires alone.
  46. you DO NOT cut them!
  47.  
  48. Strip the red and green wires so you've
  49. got about an inch of bare wire. Solder
  50. some of the extra wire and follow the
  51. schematic. You should have the resistor
  52. on the green wire with an extra piece
  53. of wire coming from one leg of it. The
  54. other leg goes to the other end of the
  55. green wire. You should solder the green
  56. wire to the left pole of the switch and
  57. the red to the middle and the other
  58. end of the red to the right pole.

  60. Now, lift up the phone. If all you get
  61. is an annoying buzz then throw the
  62. switch and you should get a dial tone.
  63. if not, don't worry and just follow the
  64. instructions and schematic again.
