  18. The cerulean box is a device that when hooked up to a phone the box will make
  19. hydrogen.

  21. materials:
  22.  
  23. 2 test tubes
  24. 1 jar
  25. 2 aligator clips
  26. a rubber stopper
  27. water
  28. electrical tape
  29. salt
  30.  
  31. instructions:
  32. Take the two aligator clips and cut off one end of each. Strip the cut off end
  33. of each wire about an inch. Then fill the jar with water and mix the salt in
  34. until the water is saturated with salt. Put the two test tubes in the salt
  35. water open end up. Then turn the test tubes upsidedown so the open ends are
  36. down and the tubes should now be filled with water. Take the electrical tape
  37. and tape the two upside down water filled test tubes to the inside of the jar
  38. so they are secure. Now take the two striped ends of the wires and place one
  39. under each test tube and then tape them so that they are secure. Connect the
  40. two alligator to the red and green jacks in your mudular plug thing. Now just
  41. let it sit and you should see bubbles forming on the stripped wire and floating
  42. up into the test tubes. One test tubw will be filling with hydrogen and the
  43. other will be filling with oxygen. The one that fills twice as fast as the
  44. other is hydrogen because there are two atoms of hydrogen for every atom of
  45. oxygen. Once one is about full unplug the alligators and then stick the stopper
  46. in the test tube while it is still under water. You know have a test tube full
  47. of hydrogen. Here is what the "box" should look like.
