  5. CoolWorx is a Windows application framework for C or C++
  6. programmers: CoolWorx. Unlike other frameworks, CoolWorx is
  7. usable from C and you can add it to existing code.
  8.  
  9. The framework allows you to easily write SDI or MDI apps with
  10. progress bars, graphic tool/status bars, context help, graphic
  11. buttons and text editors. CoolWorx also has no-callback dialog
  12. boxes that automatically use program variables. Several complete
  13. examples and an application generator help you get started fast.

  17. Important notes about this release of CoolWorx.

  21. To install, run the install program using File Manager or the "Run"
  22. command under Program Manager. If you previously installed a beta
  23. version of CoolWorx and have difficulty, remove all the beta files
  24. (including COOLWORX.DLL, CBUTTON.DLL, and CWMISC.DLL in your
  25. \WINDOWS\SYSTEM file and then reinstall.

  27. If you use Borland's Resource Workshop and try to test a dialog
  28. that only contains CoolButtons that won't take the focus, the
  29. WorkShop will crash. If any control in the dialog will accept
  30. the focus, everything works OK. The dialogs work fine under
  31. Windows -- just not with WorkShop's test mode.

  33. Static controls do not generate CW_HELPID messages.

  35. This version of CoolWorx does not support WIN32.
