  12.        This object  code license agreement is being provided to you before you
  13.        open this sealed diskette package. Once you open this diskette package,
  14.        you have  agreed to  all of the terms and conditions of this agreement.
  15.        Therefore, if you do not wish to agree to all the terms  and conditions
  16.        of this agreement, you must return the UNOPENED diskette package within
  17.        thirty(30)  days  of  your  purchase  thereof,  with  your  sales slip,
  18.        whereupon your money will be refunded.
  19.  
  20.        Gustavo Horacio Verdun ("GHV") hereby grants to the person ("Customer")
  21.        who is purchasing the enclosed diskette  a license  to the  object code
  22.        ("Object Programs") of the BASIC Deluxe ("BASDLX") library of routines.
  23.  
  24.        The Object  Programs are  protected by the United States copyright law.
  25.        Therefore the Customer must treat the Object programs just like a book,
  26.        with the  following exception:  GHV authorizes the Customer to copy the
  27.        Object Programs  for the  soul purpose  of backing-up  the programs and
  28.        protecting the Customer's investment from loss.

  30.        By saying  "just like  a book"  GHV means, for example, that the Object
  31.        Programs may be used by any number of  people and  may be  freely MOVED

  34.        from  one  computer  workstation  to  another,  so  long as there is no

  36.        possibility of them being used at  one computer  workstation while they
  37.        possibility
  38.        are  being  used  at  another.  Just  as  a  book  can't be read by two
  39.        different people in two different places at the same time,  neither can
  40.        the Object  Programs be  used by  two different people in two different
  41.        places at the same time. (Unless the copyright has been  violated.) The
  42.        following exception  applies only  to the Object Programs: The Customer
  43.        may keep as many copies of Object Programs and use them concurrently on
  44.        as many computer workstations as long as the Object Programs are placed
  45.        in a link or run time library and the actual Object Programs may not be
  46.        available on  more than  one machine.  (This would  have the respective
  47.        example of: photo copying a book for personal, non-profit use.)

  49.        The Customer may use the Object Programs to support the BASDLX library.
  50.        This means  that the  Customer may  include the  Object Programs in the
  51.        Customer's own development  copies  of  BASIC-based  programs  but, the
  52.        Customer may  ONLY distribute  copies of  them in  executable form. The
  53.        Object  Programs  may  only  be  distributed  when,  linked   with  the
  54.        Customer's BASIC  program or, placed inside a link or run time library.
  55.        This does not restrict  the Customer  from distributing  the Customer's
  56.        own BASIC  source code. The Customer may distribute the above mentioned
  57.        Object Programs in the above mentioned form only when together with the
  58.        Customer's  program(s).  Also,  The  Customer may not include, nor make
  59.        available, any documentation describing but not limited to, the use and
  60.        applications  of  the  distributed  routines  created  from  the Object
  61.        Programs.

  82.        The Customer may not modify the BASDLX Object Programs.

  84.        All rights not specifically granted in this license is reserved by GHV.

  87.                                   LIMITED WARRANTY

  90.        GHV warrants the diskette  to  be  free  of  defects  in  materials and
  91.        workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
  92.        In the event GHV receives written notice from  the Customer  of defects
  93.        in  materials  and  workmanship  within  such  30-day  period, GHV will
  94.        replace the defective diskette.
  95.  
  96.        The remedy for breach of this limited warranty shall be  limited solely
  97.        to  replacement  of  the  diskettes  and  shall  not  include any other
  98.        damages. GHV will not  be held  liable for  the consequential, special,

  100.        indirect, or other similar damages or claims, including loss of profits
  101.        indirect, or other similar damages or claims, 
  102.        or any other commercial  damage, even  if GHV  has been  advised of the

  104.        any damages to the Customer or any other  person exceed  the price paid
  105.        for  the  Source  and  Object  Programs,  regardless of any form of the
  106.        claim.

  108.        GHV specifically disclaims all other warranties,  expressed or implied,
  109.        Specifically, GHV makes no warranty that the Source and Object Programs

  163.        This license  agreement shall be construed, interpreted and governed by
  164.        the laws of the state of Maryland. If  any provision  of this agreement
  165.        is  found  void,  invalid  or  unenforceable,  it  will  not affect the
  166.        validity of the balance of this Agreement, which shall remain valid and
  167.        enforceable according  to its  terms. In the event any remedy hereunder
