  6. In January, 1990, AT&T had a severe network outage which lasted
  7. several hours and caused a massive jam-up of their long distance
  8. network. This was due to a software error. For specific details, refer
  9. to these issues of the Digest:

  12. These cover the period January 15 through January 30, 1990.
