  2. MainActor - A modular animation package for Win 95 / NT

  5. What is MainActor:
  6. ------------------

  8. MainActor is a modular multimedia processing package. You can load / edit /
  9. play and save / convert all major animation and and the most common picture
  10. formats. MainActor supports more animation formats for loading / saving than
  11. any other program on any platform!
  12.  
  13. The MPEG support supplied by MainActor allows easy conversion of your
  14. animations / picture lists to MPEG-I/II, complete with audio.
  15.  
  16. This release of MainActor supports both English and German, you can change
  17. the language during runtime in the "Settings" menu.
  18.  
  19. MainActor is available for OS/2 and Windows 95 / NT.
  20.  
  21. A full featured sequencer with audio and video effects is in preparation.

  23. The shareware version of MainActor is fully functional, you will have to deal
  24. with an annoying requester though.

  29. * when openening the save window for 5 seconds
  30. * after saving every tenth frame for 2 seconds

  32. Please register MainActor if you use it on a regular basis. Use beyond a 31
  33. day evaluation period is prohibited without registration.

  37. ATTENTION: MainActor requires DirectX for its playback capabilities. If you do not
  38. have DirectX installed, MainActor / MainView will not start up!

  40. The DirectX runtime can be downloaded from Microsofts homepage at
  41. http://www.microsoft.com. However its pretty hidden on the Microsoft site.
