  4. Warranty

  6.     We've done our darndest to make sure that Fractal 
  7.     eXtreme works properly on all of the machines it is 
  8.     supposed to run on. If it doesn't, please let us know.
  9.  
  10.     If for some reason Fractal eXtreme fails to perform 
  11.     properly I'm afraid neither we, nor anyone else 
  12.     involved in creating and distributing Fractal eXtreme,
  13.     can be held responsible. Neither Cygnus Software nor 
  14.     anyone else involved in creating and distributing 
  15.     Fractal eXtreme shall be liable for any damages
  16.     caused by problems with Fractal eXtreme.
  17.  
  18. Restrictions
  19.  
  20.     Use of this software without purchasing it is 
  21.     restricted to a 15-day trial period.
  22.  
  23.     After this software is purchased you may install it 
  24.     on a maximum of two machines, for your sole use. 
  25.     Additional payment is required to use the software on 
  26.     additional machines or by additional people.
  27.  
  28.     You may have been charged a nominal fee by a shareware
  29.     distributor to receive a copy of the shareware version
  30.     of Fractal eXtreme. This fee does not constitute 
  31.     payment for the licensed version and does not entitle 
  32.     you to use Fractal eXtreme beyond the end of the 
  33.     15-day trial period.
  34.  
  35.     You may not reverse engineer, reverse compile, or 
  36.     disassemble any of the files in the distribution.
  37.  
  38.     All of the files in the distribution are 
  39.     Copyright ⌐ 1997 Cygnus Software, except for those 
  40.     associated with SalesAgent, which are 
  41.     Copyright ⌐ 1996 Release Software Corporation, and
  42.     those from Microsoft, which are Copyright ⌐ 1981-1996
  43.     Microsoft Corporation.

  45.     Cygnus Software retains ownership of all algorithms, 
  46.     routines, and implementations contained within Fractal
  47.     eXtreme, except for those owned by Release Software 
  48.     Corporation and Microsoft Corporation.
  49.  
  50.     Any images or animations produced with Fractal eXtreme
  51.     may be freely used with no restrictions or royalties.
  52.  
  53.     You may freely distribute the Fractal eXtreme files, 
  54.     subject to the following conditions:

  56.         You may not charge for distributing the files, 
  57.         other than a nominal fee to cover media costs.
  58.  
  59.         You may not distribute any of the files for 
  60.         profit, or on a cover disk, or on a CD-ROM, 
  61.         without written permission from Cygnus Software.
  62.  
  63.         You must distribute a complete, unaltered set of
  64.         files, with any added files being clearly 
  65.         distinguished from the Fractal eXtreme files 
  66.         distributed by Cygnus Software.

  68.         You must take reasonable steps to ensure that the
  69.         recipients see this agreement and agree to be bound
  70.         by its terms and conditions.

  72. Choice of Law
  73.  
  74.     This License shall be governed and construed in 
  75.     accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin.

  77. Acknowledgment
  78.  
  79.     By using Fractal eXtreme you acknowledge that you have
  80.     read this agreement, understood it, and agree to be 
  81.     bound by its terms and conditions.
