These icons were created using Microangelo. The pictures were pulled off of various web sites, cropped, massaged and finally made into icons.
To use these icons you must have Microsoft's Plus Pack or Impactsoft's Microangelo. These programs will allow your computer to use these icons if you are running in a high-color mode (more than 256 colors). There are some Registry settings that need to be changed (why this isn't automatic, you'll have to ask Bill Gates). If you try to use these like regular icons, they won't look very good. I highly recommend Microangelo which is at this web site:

Follow the directions and use the Engineer component to set up your system.
10 Step Process to Making 256 Color Icons (in brief):
1. Find a cool picture
2. Crop it to a square containing future icon information
3. Use sharpen filter (in Photoshop or whatever paint program you can find)
4. Increase intensity (of colors)
5. Resize to 32x32 pixels
6. Sharpen again if needed.
7. Save as bitmap (note: this does NOT have to be a 256-color bitmap! It usually works better if it is more.)
8. Start Microangelo Studio and change icon settings to 32x32, 256-color.
9. Choose Edit, Load bitmap as image and select the bitmap saved in step 7.
10. Save ICO file.
These icons are freeware and may not be sold, but...if you find these useful, please e-mail me a neat-o picture for volume two of Scotty's icons (or any cool cartoon/movie icons you may have). Watch the icon web site for future volumes.
