- WaveSurgeon
- -----------
-
- This is version 1.3a of WaveSurgeon. There are many updates, fixes, and new
- features that were not present in versions 1.1 and 1.2. If you have
- difficulties using WaveSurgeon, or you have any suggestions or criticism,
- please email:
-
- neil.crane@virgin.net
-
- Or check out the SquareCircle Web Site for updates:
-
- http://freespace.virgin.net/neil.crane
-
- ------------
- Restrictions
- ------------
- This is a RESTRICTED version of WaveSurgeon. To get all the features,
- you must register. In this version, you cannot:
-
- Save Midi templates;
- Save SoundFont Files;
- Hide Slice Icons;
- Import Stereo Files;
- Use the Edit menu (including Undo features);
-
- While the reminder boxes are VERY annoying,they are better than a no-save
- demo.They are designed to ensure that those who wish to evaluate the features
- of WaveSurgeon can do so.
-
- --------------
- Specifications
- --------------
- WaveSurgeon has been tested on Cyrix 6x86, Intel Pentium, and 486
- (down to dx-66) class machines. It is *Windows 95* ONLY! You also need a
- soundcard. You will get best results with a Creative Labs SoundBlaster 32
- /AWE-32/AWE-64/AWE-64 Gold with on board sample memory. However, WaveSurgeon
- SoundFont 2.0 banks can be converted to other soundcards (eg. Turtle Beach
- has been tested) using a program called AWave. You can also
- get good results on soundcards without sample memory - just split the file
- into Wave files, and load the files into a 'wave player' style program.
-
- To use the midi files, you should have a program similar to
- Steinberg`s Cubase/Cubasis, Emagic`s (Micro)Logic, TwelveTone`s Cakewalk, or
- Evolution Audio.
-

-
- ...and using the RegNet service to pay by credit card (secure
