  9.     A few minutes later. Sloan is still on the bed, and
  10.     Bashir and O'Brien are looking anxiously at one
  11.     MONITOR, which is showing a FLATLINE. (Some kind of
  12.     EEG or other brainwave monitor.)

  14.     They wait... a few breathless seconds go by...
  15.  
  16.     And finally, the LINE begins to FLUCTUATE. Bashir
  17.     and O'Brien both let out long sighs of relief.
  18.     Bashir continues to work the equipment.

  20.                     O'BRIEN
  21.             What's the verdict?

  23.                     BASHIR
  24.             Well, he's stable... for now.
  25.             But the neuro-depolarizer has
  26.             damaged his brain. Even with
  27.             full life support, his higher

  29.             fail within the next hour.
