DEEP SPACE NINE: "Extreme Measures" - REV. 04/05/99 - ACT ONE 11.
6 CONTINUED:
ODO
I've spent nine years working on
that case
QUARK
I know. That's why it's such a
shame that you won't have time to
close it before you...
Odo physically rallies... lifts himself up on an
elbow and there's a glimmer of the old Odo again.
ODO
You're going to tell me exactly
what you know and you're going to
do it right now.
Quark was hoping for just that reaction.
QUARK
Oh. Suddenly you're not so sick
after all. You want to crack the
case? Then stop malingering and
get back to work. When you do,
you know where to find me.
With that, Quark EXITS. Odo stares after him for a
beat, astonished... then realizes what Quark was
trying to do and that it actually worked. He's
sitting up for the first time in a long time. Odo
smiles and eases himself back down in the bed.
CUT TO:
7 EXT. SPACE - DEEP SPACE NINE (OPTICAL)
Re-establishing the station.
8 INT. PROMENADE
It's the middle of the night and the Promenade is
mostly deserted. O'Brien is walking along, carrying
his tool box and suppressing a yawn. He's about to
go into the Infirmary, when he HEARS a familiar
THUNK sound. Then he hears it again. And again.
