  7.             Have a safe trip.

  9.     She turns and enters the airlock. As the door
  10.     closes behind her, Bashir's attempt at a smile wilts
  11.     into a worried expression.
  12.  
  13.                                     CUT TO:

  15. 8    EXT. SPACE (OPTICAL)
  16.  
  17.     A RUNABOUT moves into orbit around Sappora VII -- a
  18.     barren rock of a planet.
  19.  
  20. 9    EXT. TIGAN COMPOUND - DAY (MATTE)
  21.  
  22.     The planet's surface is rocky, rough and
  23.     inhospitable. The Tigan mining compound is sited
  24.     upon the crest of a bluff overlooking the
  25.     surrounding landscape and a brackish lake. The
  26.     compound buildings are enclosed within an energy
  27.     dome. The design of the compound reflects the fact
  28.     that everything necessary for humanoid habitation
  29.     must be brought in from off-planet.
  30.  
  31. 10   INT. TIGAN LIVING ROOM
  32.  
  33.     It's spacious and comfortable, with a large stone
  34.     fireplace at one end of the room. Other exits lead
  35.     to hallways and to the home OFFICE. The main doors
  36.     OPEN to reveal Ezri, in uniform and carrying her
  37.     overnight BAG. She walks into the empty room with a
  38.     look of remembrance and discovery -- this is both a
  39.     homecoming and a first-time visit for Ezri.
  40.  
  41.     She drops her bag at the foot of one of the stone
  42.     columns supporting the ceiling and looks around.
  43.     Her gaze falls on an impressionistic painting
  44.     hanging on one wall. She's taking a closer look at
  45.     it when her brother NORVO ENTERS from the hallway.
  46.     Norvo is the dreamer of the family, a gifted
  47.     poet/intellectual, but also a weaker and more
  48.     fragile person than either of his siblings. He
  49.     beams at the sight of his sister.
