  15.     Federation/Cardassian border. An irregular line runs 
  16.     across the chart, separating the star systems that fall 
  17.     on either side.

  22.             proposing.

  24.     The border shifts slightly. For the most part, it 
  25.     shifts deeper into Cardassian territory, but in a few 
  26.     places some star systems get gerrymandered to the other 
  27.     side.

  29.     An improbable figure wanders into the scene -- it's 
  30.     Patrick, and he moves to peer closely at Damar, who 
  31.     doesn't react to his presence. To the audience, it may 
  32.     seem that he has somehow wandered into the real 
  33.     negotiation.
