  14. 2    INT. CARGO BAY/TEAM DORM

  16.     The Cargo Bay has been configured into a kind of 
  17.     dormitory. Free-standing partitions divide the room 
  18.     into semi-private areas. There's a REPLICATOR against 
  19.     one wall, several WALL MONITORS, and a large TABLE and 
  20.     CHAIRS in the middle of the room. Alcoves in the 
  21.     corners offer separate sleeping quarters.
  22.  
  23.     We cut in to find an agitated man of about thirty-five, 
  24.     pacing back and forth and ranting half to himself. 
  25.     He's JACK, and as we'll learn, he's a maladjusted 
  26.     product of twenty-fourth century genetic engineering.
  27.  
  28.     Behind him, we see a beautiful woman of about the same 
  29.     age, luxuriating on a nearby couch. Her name is 
  30.     LAUREN, and everything she does exudes a strange 
  31.     sensuality. She's watching Jack with an elaborately 
  32.     patient air.

  34.                     JACK
  35.             No. No. It's not fair.
  36.                 (more to himself)
  37.             Am I alone here? Is that it? Am
  38.             I the only one who sees.
  39.                 (covering his ears)
  40.             What is that noise!

  42.     A voice from off-camera replies --

  51.     about thirty-five. Though by nature a warm person,
