  8.             Taking care of a baby can be a 
  9.             full-time job.
  10.  
  11.     Kirayoshi wakes up, rubs his eyes.
  12.  
  13.                     O'BRIEN
  14.             Look, do me a favor and hold him 
  15.             for a minute. I need to get his 
  16.             bottle. He'll cry, but it's okay -
  17.             there's nothing wrong with him.
  18.  
  19.                     WORF
  20.             Chief, I must attend to --
  21.  
  22.                     O'BRIEN
  23.             It'll only take a minute.
  24.  
  25.     O'Brien hands him the baby, then disappears into the 
  26.     other room, leaving Worf along with the tiny infant in 
  27.     his arms. Profoundly uncomfortable, Worf awkwardly 
  28.     shifts Kirayoshi into a cradling position. The baby 
  29.     stirs in his arms, shifting toward the warmth of his 
  30.     body. Worf's face softens and becomes strangely 
  31.     childlike.

  33.     O'Brien comes back and stops in his tracks.
  34.  
  35.                     WORF
  36.             What's the matter?
  37.  
  38.                     O'BRIEN
  39.             The baby... he's not crying.
  40.  
  41.     O'Brien takes the baby from Worf's arms and gently puts 
  42.     him in his bassinet. Blissful silence. O'Brien slumps 
  43.     down on the couch next to the baby, leans his head back 
  44.     and closes his eyes.
  45.  
  46.                     O'BRIEN
  47.             He's not crying.
  48.  
  49.                     WORF
  50.                 (looking at the baby, a 
  51.                 beat) 
  52.             I never saw my son when he was 
  53.             this age.
  54.                 (a beat) 
  55.             It is something I will always 
  56.             regret. You are a fortunate man. 
  57.             Chief... Chief?

  59.     But the only answer he gets is the sound of O'Brien 
  60.     breathing peacefully. Worf looks over at O'Brien to
