  8.     Quark spins to look at the banner -- the Klingon emblem 
  9.     is surrounded with some Klingon writing. Quark winces 
  10.     with agony and yells up to the Dabo Girls:

  12.                     QUARK
  13.             Not that one --
  14.  
  15.     Quark rushes behind the bar, pulls out another banner 
  16.     and unfurls it over the counter. This one has the 
  17.     United Federation of Planets emblem and when the crowd 
  18.     sees it, they break out into the traditional Bajoran 
  19.     APPLAUSE.

  21.                     DAX
  22.             I see you're prepared for 
  23.             anything.
  24.  
  25.                     QUARK
  26.             Never hurts.
  27.  
  28.     Dax picks up a glass with the U.F.P. emblem emblazoned 
  29.     on its side.

  31.                     DAX
  32.                 (to Quark)
  33.             I take it you think Federation 
  34.             membership is going to be good for
  35.             business?

  38.                     QUARK
  39.             Of course it is -- this station is 
  40.             going to get busier than an 
  41.             Alvanian beehive. I'm expecting 
  42.             to do five times the volume in 
  43.             root beer alone.

  45.     Quark smiles... he's got this all worked out.

  47.                     QUARK
  48.             You see, it's all about foot 
  49.             traffic. The more people come in, 
  50.             the more they drink. The more 
  51.             they drink, the more they talk. 
  52.             The more they talk, the more they 
  53.             let slip things I shouldn't know. 
  54.             And that... that always leads to 
  55.             latinum.

  57.     Quark smiles victoriously at Dax and the Klingon. Dax 
  58.     smiles back, but Worf remains unmoved.
