  12.     DOCTOR BASHIR emerges from the laboratory/dispensary 
  13.     area, his attention completely focused on the readings 
  14.     off a medical instrument. Sisko is on the bio-bed.

  16.                     BASHIR
  17.             ... There are no signs of any 
  18.             permanent neural damage, though I 
  19.             am reading some odd synaptic 
  20.             potentials.
  21.                 (a beat)
  22.             Let me ask you something -- does 
  23.             my uniform look a little brighter 
  24.             to you?

  26.                     SISKO
  27.             Yes... everything does.
  28.  
  29.     Sisko looks around the room.

  31.                     SISKO
  32.             Colors seem more intense... and 
  33.             shapes are more... focused.

  35.     Sisko looks at his own hand as if held never seen it 
  36.     before.

  38.                     BASHIR
  39.             That's called post-neural shock 
  40.             syndrome. Your neural pathways 
  41.             were overloaded by the plasma 
  42.             burst. All external stimuli are 
  43.             going to seem more pronounced.
  44.                 (a warning)

  46.             It'll take a while for things to 
  47.             settle down. I'm putting you on 
  48.             restricted duty for the next three 
  49.             days. If you experience any other 
  50.             side effects, headaches, nausea, 
  51.             dizziness... let me know 
  52.             immediately.
