  9.             lost his shape-shifting abilities,
  10.             I haven't been able to get a smile 
  11.             out of him.

  14.             Where is he?

  17.             I'm telling you, Captain, that's 
  18.             one depressed ex-changeling.
  19.                 (gestures toward the 
  20.                 stairway)
  21.             He's upstairs at his usual table. 
  22.             Just follow the black cloud.

  24.     Sisko heads for the staircase...

  28. 16   INT. QUARK'S SECOND LEVEL

  30.     ODO is sitting at a table by himself, staring into a 
  31.     glass of Bajoran Ale, seemingly oblivious to the 
  32.     raucousness around him. He's not drunk or wallowing in 
  33.     bitterness, but there's a palpable aura of defeat to
  34.     him. Sisko joins him.
  35.  
  36.                     SISKO
  37.             Constable.
  38.  
  39.     Odo holds up a restraining hand.
  40.  
  41.                     ODO
  42.             Listen, Captain. Do you hear it?
  43.

  45.     Odo nods toward a glass of Bajoran Ale that sits in 
  46.     front of him. Sisko, not sure what this is all about, 
  47.     sits down and leans closer to the bottle.

  49.                     SISKO
  50.             You mean the bubbles?
  51.  
  52.                     ODO
  53.             Soothing, isn't it? You know, 
  54.             before I became a Solid, I never 
  55.             heard that. I didn't have a sense 
  56.             of taste so I never paid much 
  57.             attention to food, or drink. I 
  58.             had no idea how seductive they 
  59.             could be.
