DEEP SPACE NINE: "Body Parts" - REV. 04/08/96 - ACT THREE 29.
18 CONTINUED: (6)
BRUNT (Cont'd)
... because then -- everything you
and your family own on Ferenginar
will be confiscated and sold to
the lowest bidder... your mother
will be forced to live in the
streets, begging for scraps of
food... and of course, no Ferengi
will do business with you, or even
talk to you. You'll be cut off
from all contact with your own
people.
QUARK
But I like Ferengi. I feel
comfortable around them.
BRUNT
Well we don't feel comfortable
around you. You're a disease, Quark,
a festering tumor on the lobes of
Ferengi society. And it's my job
to cut you off.
The prospect of being surrounded only by non-Ferengis
is a frightening thought to Quark... more frightening
than death. Quark sits, depressed. Brunt flashes him
one last grin, then EXITS, leaving Quark to ponder his
situation.
19 INT. O'BRIENS' QUARTERS
Emerging from the bedroom door, Keiko is holding onto
O'Brien's arm as they walk toward the couch. Keiko is
recuperating well, but she is still a bit delicate.
O'BRIEN
That's it... one step at a time.
As they get a few steps from the sofa --
O'BRIEN
We're almost there. Prepare for
docking. Thrusters back to half.
O'Brien gently turns Keiko slowly, then gently eases
her down into a sitting position.
