  8.             I'm a little tired. Didn't sleep 
  9.             much last night.
  10.  
  11.     Jake smiles a little mischievously.
  12.  
  13.                     JAKE
  14.             I guess you're not used to 
  15.             sleeping alone anymore.
  16.  
  17.     Sisko gives him a surprised look. Jake laughs, 
  18.     enjoying teasing his Dad for once. But Sisko is on a 
  19.     different wavelength. The subject of Kasidy is a 
  20.     delicate one for him right now, and Jake is misreading 
  21.     his reaction as embarrassment over Jake's sexual 
  22.     teasing.

  24.                     JAKE
  25.                 (teasing)
  26.             It's okay, you can admit it... you 
  27.             miss her... "companionship." You 
  28.             miss... "talking"... and sharing 
  29.             your "insights" about command and 
  30.             duty...

  32.                     SISKO
  33.                 (snaps)
  34.             All right, that's enough.
  35.  
  36.                     JAKE
  37.                 (surprised)
  38.             I was just kidding.

  40.                     SISKO
  41.             I know. I've just got a lot on my 
  42.             mind.
  43.  
  44.     An awkward silence.
  45.  
  46.                     JAKE
  47.             Something happen between you and 
  48.             Kasidy?
  49.  
  50.                     SISKO
  51.             Not exactly.
  52.  
  53.                     JAKE
  54.             If you want to talk...
  55.  
  56.     Sisko looks at the concerned and earnest look on his 
  57.     son's face for a moment, then moves to him and puts an 
  58.     arm on his shoulder with a smile. Jake isn't sure what 
  59.     emotions are stirring around inside his father, but 
  60.     he's glad to see that smile nevertheless.
