  14.             loyal officers to make a fight of
  15.             it.

  17.                     SISKO
  18.             Who will you fight? Starfleet?
  19.             the Federation? Don't you see,
  20.             Admiral? You're fighting the
  21.             wrong war.
  22.                 (a beat)
  23.             And as far as your loyal officers
  24.             are concerned, Benteen's already
  25.             abandoned you. And she was closer
  26.             to you than anyone.

  28.     Leyton doesn't have an answer to that.

  30.                     SISKO
  31.             You've lost. Don't make anyone
  32.             else pay for your mistakes.

  34.     There's a long beat as Leyton considers Sisko's words.
  35.     Finally, he puts down his glass and stands up. He
  36.     looks beaten, like he's been in a hell of a fight, and
  37.     come up on the losing side. He carefully removes his
  38.     admiral's insignia from his uniform and places it
  39.     gently on the desk.

  41.                     LEYTON
  42.             I hope you're not the one making
  43.             the mistake.
  44.  
  45.     Leyton walks out of his office, never looking back.

  49.     As he picks up the Leyton's pips. If this is winning,
  50.     why doesn't he feel better?

  54. 52   INT. SISKO'S CREOLE KITCHEN - DAY (OPTICAL)

  56.     It's early in the day. Joseph hasn't opened the
  57.     restaurant yet, although his staff is preparing food in
  58.     the kitchen. Joseph in at the window, watching the
  59.     last of the Starfleet Security officers beam away.
