  7.             I'm Doctor Hanor Pren of the Trill 
  8.             science ministry.

  10.                     KIRA
  11.             I'm Major Kira Nerys, and I'd like 
  12.             to welcome you to Deep Space Nine. 
  13.             This is our strategic operations 
  14.             officer, Commander Worf, and of 
  15.             course our science officer, 
  16.             Commander Dax.
  17.  
  18.     Worf nods to Pren and Dax shakes his hand. Just then, 
  19.     two more Trill scientists, BEJAL -- a man in his mid-
  20.     thirties, and LENARA KAHN -- a striking woman about the 
  21.     same age, ENTER from the airlock. Dax stiffens 
  22.     slightly, but keeps her emotions tightly under wraps.
  23.  
  24.                     PREN
  25.             Allow me to introduce our team 
  26.             leader Doctor Lenara Kahn and her 
  27.             brother Doctor Bejal Otner.
  28.                 (introducing them to the
  29.                 Trill)
  30.             Major Kira, Commander Worf, and
  31.             Commander Dax.
  32.  
  33.     Everyone shakes hands and says hello... then comes the 
  34.     moment when Dax and Lenara finally face each other 
  35.     squarely. This is an awkward moment for both of them 
  36.     that they're trying very hard not to show.
  37.  
  38.                     DAX
  39.             It's been a long time.
  40.  
  41.                     LENARA 
  42.             Yes, it has.
  43.  
  44.     They hold each other's gaze just a fraction of a second 
  45.     too long, and Kira takes notice. Dax and Lenara break 
  46.     the moment and turn back to the others.
  47.  
  48.                     WORF 
  49.             If you will come with me, I'll 
  50.             show you to your quarters.
  51.  
  52.     Worf heads off down the Corridor and the Trill 
  53.     scientists follow him. Dax hangs back and Kira stops 
  54.     her for a moment.
  55.  
  56.                     KIRA 
  57.             You know that woman?
