  7.             You'll get the hang of it...

  9.     Sisko finishes his readings, cranks a winch a few turns, and 
  10.     moves to look at the star chart.  Using nautical-looking 
  11.     NAVIGATIONAL TOOLS (a parallel ruler, a compass, etc), he 
  12.     works out their flight plan as Jake watches...
  13.  
  14.                     SISKO
  15.             We'll be tacking against the light 
  16.             most of the way... we'll run like 
  17.             this for the next ninety minutes or 
  18.             so... then we'll come about and I'll 
  19.             calculate our next leg...
  20.  
  21.     Jake takes this in, fascinated...
  22.  
  23.                     SISKO
  24.             How about something to drink... ?
  25.  
  26.     Sisko goes to the galley and takes out two POUCHES of water, 
  27.     tosses one to Jake.  Jake reacts to the zero-gravity ration...
  28.  
  29.                     JAKE
  30.             Don't tell me we only have zero-
  31.             gravity rations...
  32.  
  33.                     SISKO
  34.                 (lightly)
  35.             That's all the ancient Bajorans had...

  37.     Sisko settles onto the floor, his back against the wall, 
  38.     lets out a contented breath.  Jake settles onto the floor 
  39.     nearby.  After a quiet moment...
  40.  
  41.                     SISKO
  42.             Listen...
  43.  
  44.     Jake cocks his ear for a moment...
  45.  
  46.                     JAKE
  47.             I don't hear anything...
  48.  
  49.                     SISKO
  50.             Exactly... not even the hum of an 
  51.             engine...

  53.     Sisko smiles to himself, caught up for a moment in the romance 
  54.     of sailing...
