  7.             It's no use.  As far as I can tell, 
  8.             the station's suffered some kind of 
  9.             massive systems failure.  Aside from 
  10.             life support, and simple functions 
  11.             like turbolifts and doors, nothing 
  12.             seems to be working.  It's been like 
  13.             this for hours.  I was up late 
  14.             programming some replicator patterns 
  15.             for a suit I'm designing, and 
  16.             everything just went dead.

  18.                     BASHIR
  19.             I can't believe that you, Quark and 
  20.             I are the only people left on the 
  21.             station.  Sisko and the others must 
  22.             be here somewhere.

  24.                     GARAK
  25.             Maybe.  Or maybe they've fallen victim 
  26.             to some kind of rampant virus, or 
  27.             space anomaly, or Dominion plot.
  28.  
  29.                     BASHIR
  30.             All the more reason to try to locate 
  31.             them.

  33.     Bashir pauses as he tries to formulate a plan of action.  
  34.     But as he does so, we begin to hear the distant whispers 
  35.     once again.

  37.                     BASHIR
  38.             Wait.  Do you hear that?
  39.  
  40.                     GARAK
  41.             Hear what?

  43.                     BASHIR
  44.             That sound.  It's like voices 
  45.             whispering.
  46.  
  47.                     GARAK
  48.             I don't hear anything.  But then 
  49.             Cardassian hearing isn't quite as 
  50.             acute as human's.
  51.                 (studies Bashir)
  52.             Doctor, are you feeling all right?  
  53.             You look... different somehow.

  55.     Garak examines Bashir's face.  There's a little more gray in 
  56.     Bashir's hair.
