  9.     A short time later.  Bareil is lying on the table, but now 
  10.     he's awake, if still weak and a little groggy.  Bashir is 
  11.     talking to Sisko, Kira, and Winn, while the Nurse is in the 
  12.     b.g.  Kira is standing next to the table, holding Bareil's 
  13.     hand and looking down at him with a mixture of astonishment 
  14.     and joy.
  15.  
  16.                     BASHIR
  17.             ... it's too early to tell for certain, 
  18.             but I'm hoping he'll make a full 
  19.             recovery.  He may even be back on 
  20.             his feet again in a few weeks.
  21.  
  22.                     SISKO
  23.                 (smiles)
  24.             You say that so calmly.  But it's 
  25.             not every doctor that loses a patient 
  26.             and then has him back on his feet in 
  27.             a few weeks.
  28.  
  29.                     WINN
  30.             Indeed, you're far too modest.  You've 
  31.             performed nothing less than a miracle 
  32.             here... the Prophets must walk with 
  33.             you, Doctor.

  35.     Bashir looks a little embarrassed at the praise.

  37.                     BASHIR
  38.             Well, I -- and the Prophets, were 
  39.             lucky that the ionizing radiation 
  40.             left a residual signature on Bareil's 
  41.             axonal pathways.  That's what really 
  42.             made this possible.

  44.     Bareil manages to croak out a few words.

  46.                     BAREIL

  48.             Whoever deserves... the credit... I 
  49.             am... grateful, Doctor.

  51.     Winn moves to him and looks down with a kind look on her 
  52.     face.
