  5.     smile.  After a beat, the boy attempts to imitate him and 
  6.     the result is even more strained and forced.  The two of 
  7.     them smile awkwardly at each other for a moment, then Odo 
  8.     breaks it off.

  10.                     ODO
  11.                 (continuing)
  12.             We'll work on that.

  14.     The boy stops smiling as Bashir comes over with some medical 
  15.     equipment.

  21.     Re-establishing the station.

  23. 25   INT. SISKO'S QUARTERS

  25.     Jake and Mardah are seated at the table as Sisko brings over 
  26.     a large steaming bowl of food.
  27.  
  28.                     MARDAH
  29.             Hmmm... smells good.  What is it?

  31.                     SISKO
  32.             Creole shrimp with Mandalay sauce... 
  33.             one of my father's recipes.
  34.  
  35.                     JAKE
  36.                 (to Mardah)
  37.             You're going to love this...

  40.             I hope you like spicy food... because 
  41.             this has a bite to it...

  43.     Sisko begins serving the shrimp dish onto plates for the 
  44.     three of them.  Jake is a little nervous here... he keeps 
  45.     glancing between Sisko and Mardah, not knowing what to expect.  
  46.     Mardah and Sisko are both at their most polite and gracious, 
  47.     but the subtext is that Sisko has asked Mardah here to size 
  48.     her up and she knows it, but she's not afraid of him.

  51.             So... Mardah... tell me a little about 
  52.             yourself.
