  6.     Sisko ENTERS, still feeling warm about babies.  Jake is 
  7.     sitting at the table and Sisko gives him a big smile.

  10.             Jake... how about a hug for your old 
  11.             man?
  12.  
  13.     But it quickly becomes apparent that Jake is not in a hugging 
  14.     mood.

  16.                     JAKE
  17.             Why didn't you tell me you were going 
  18.             to invite Mardah to dinner?
  19.  
  20.     Sisko sighs as he puts aside the warm fuzzy images of being 
  21.     the father of an infant to deal with his teenaged son.

  23.                     SISKO
  24.             I did.  Weeks ago.  I told you if 
  25.             you didn't invite her soon, I'd do 
  26.             it myself.

  28.                     JAKE
  29.             I still wish you'd given me a little 
  30.             more warning.

  33.             I didn't realize a dinner invitation 
  34.             required so much... warning.

  36.                     JAKE
  37.             It doesn't... and it's not a problem 
  38.             or anything.  It just... caught me 
  39.             by surprise.

  42.             Dinner's not until tomorrow night... 
  43.             which still gives you a full day to 
  44.             prepare her for the traumatic 
  45.             experience of eating with your old 
  46.             man.
