  9.     A lot of activity.  A Starfleet engineer and a science officer 
  10.     examine the area.  O'Brien is up on a ladder shining a palm 
  11.     beacon into the open ventilator shaft.  Dax is using a 
  12.     tricorder to pick up any organic traces on the floor in the 
  13.     lab.  Bashir is seated nearby.  Doctor Mora is dressed now, 
  14.     stands with Odo and Sisko talking to the shaken Bashir.  
  15.     Weld is still unconscious in bed.

  17.                     BASHIR
  18.             It happened so quickly.  I'm sorry I 
  19.             can't tell you more about it.  It 
  20.             was behind me, then it was gone.  
  21.             But it was big.  Very big.

  24.             How badly did you injure it?

  27.             I don't know.  I don't know if I 
  28.             injured it at all.  I just hit it 
  29.             once with a laser scalpel on its 
  30.             arm, or leg, or tentacle... whatever 
  31.             it was, and it moved up the wall
