  15. Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1d

  18. 1.  Now checks to see if the application's program file is valid
  19.     when the user presses the "Add" button in the Configure
  20.     dialog box.  If the path is invalid, a message dialog
  21.     appears with "Setup", "Ignore", and "Cancel" buttons.

  23. 2.  If FM Applic attempts to run an application with an invalid
  24.     program file, an error message appears with the *name*
  25.     of the offending file.

  27. Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1c

  30. 1.  Right mouse button application is no longer reset
  31.     when using Norton Desktop 3.0.
  32.  
  33. 2.  Problems with the installation program were fixed.
  34.     Also, install is a little bit friendlier.
  35.  
  36. 3.  The "AutoArrangeMenu" settings was added to
  37.     [Settings] section of FMAPPLIC.INI.  For more details,
  38.     See "Anatomy of FMAPPLIC.INI" in the on-line help.

  50. New Features with Version 1.1
  51. -----------------------------

  53. The following new features were introduced with FM Applic 1.1:
  54.  
  55.    o Auto-Load Application Icons Stay on Top of the File Manager
  56.  
  57.      The "Keep On Top" option has been added to the Application
  58.      Properties dialog box.  If you select this option, the
  59.      application's icon will stay on top of the File Manager
  60.      window.  
  61.  
  62.      This feature allows you to Drag-Drop files to your
  63.      auto-load applications even if the File Manager window is
  64.      expanded to full size.
  65.  
  66.    o "Crop" Icon Shrinkage Method (Windows for Workgroups)
  67.  
  68.      The "Crop" icon shrinkage method has been added to the
  69.      Change Button dialog box.  If you select this option, a
  70.      16x15 section from the upper left hand corner of the icon
  71.      is copied pixel for pixel, to the toolbar button (i.e. no
  72.      shrinkage is performed).
  73.  
  74.      This feature allows you to create a custom toolbar button
  75.      using your favorite icon editor. Create your image in the
  76.      upper left hand corner (16 pixels wide by 15 pixels high)
  77.      of the icon.

  79.    o "Unknown" File Status in File Prompt (%@FP) Argument Field
  80.  
  81.      The File Prompt argument field now accepts UNKNOWN as a
  82.      keyword for file-status.  Use this keyword if the
  83.      application can accept a new file or an existing file. This
  84.      will display a File Name dialog box.

  87. Known Problems
  88. --------------
  89.  
  90. 1.  Under WIN-OS/2, FM Applic may have problems changing directories.
  91.     If this is the case, change the "Working directory" for your
  92.     applications to ".\".  This will cause FM Applic to pre-pend the
  93.     disk and path to each file name passed to the application.
  94.  
  95. 2.  Under WIN-OS/2, if you try to run an application and the program
  96.     file does not exist, the File Manager may abort abnormally.
  97.  
  98. 3.  When installing over an existing installation of FM Applic, and
  99.     you are using the File Manager, the position of application
  100.     toolbar buttons may be reset (messed up).  Simply choose the
  101.     "Customize Toolbar" command from the File Manager's "Options"
  102.     menu.  Then you can restore the buttons back to their original
  103.     positions.
