  11.   Thank you for trying SimoneSystems Software's Admirals Command for
  12. Windows (formerly S.S. BattleShip for Windows), the classic game of 
  13. Battleships, with a twist!  Admirals Command is distributed as Shareware
  14. so you can try-it-before-you-buy-it, and save money too!  Admirals Command
  15. also takes advantage of the Windows user interface, and provides VGA high
  16. resolution graphics.  The twist?  Admirals Command adds another level of
  17. strategy to the game with these special game features:

  19.   Mines! ---------------> With mines, you can get a head start on your
  20.                           opponent by exposing part of their navy without
  21.                           firing a shot.  You can also help guard your
  22.                           ships from enemy attack.
  23.   Islands! * -----------> The virtually unlimited combination of screen
  24.                           layouts make each game different!
  25.   Submerge
  26.   Submarine! *  --------> Just when the enemy starts aiming at your sub,
  27.                           give the order to dive!  Submerge your submarine
  28.                           to a depth even the computer can't hit!
  29.   Move Spy Ship! * -----> Secretly move your spy ship to a new location
  30.                           after the game has already started!  But watch
  31.                           out for those enemy mines!
  32.   Minesweeping! * ------> Use your minesweeper to locate and destroy enemy
  33.                           mines!
  34.   The Admirals
  35.   Hall of Fame! * ------> Make your mark in the International Admirals Hall
  36.                           of Fame!  See how your best score fares against
  37.                           Admirals from around the world.

  44. Requirements

  47. Admirals Command requires the following:
  48.    Microsoft Windows 3.x.
  49.    A mouse or compatible pointing device.
  50.    A monitor and video board supporting VGA graphics.
  51.    VBRUN300.DLL - Visual Basic Run Time Library NOT INCLUDED in this
  52.    package.  This file can be found on most BBS's and on Compuserve.

  54. Installation Instructions.

  57.   To install from a floppy diskette:
  58.     1. Insert disk in drive A.
  59.     2. In Program Manager, or File Manager, choose run from the File menu.
  60.     3. Type a:acsetup and press ENTER.
  61.   To install from hard drive:
  62.     1. Unpack archived file to a work sub-directory on your hard drive.
  63.     2. In Program Manager, or File Manager, choose run from the File menu.
  64.     3. Type C:\WORK\acsetup and press ENTER, where C is your hard drive and
  65.        WORK is the work directory where you unpacked the archived file.

  67. NOTE:  The Setup program will not run without VBRUN300.DLL!  This file is
  68.        NOT INCLUDED in this package.  This file can be found on most BBS's 
  69.        and on Compuserve.

  72. accessed with the Help menu option from within the game.

  115. Admirals Command is distributed as Shareware.  This allows you to try-it-
  116. before-you-buy-it, but if you continue to use the game after the trial
  117. period of 21 days, you must register.

  119. When you register, you will receive the latest version of Admirals Command
  120. on diskette.  The registered version allows you to select each of the game
  121. options (Islands, Mine Sweeping, Submerge Submarine, Move Spy Ship) in any
  122. combination, and save the configuration.  Watch for the BONUS games in this
  123. Shareware copy to try these options!  Registered users are also eligible
  124. for entry into the International Admirals Hall of Fame!

  126. Register now and receive a Registration Bonus Certificate! This certificate
  127. gives you a 50% discount on the "JCSM Shareware Collection" tm CD-ROM!
  128. This CD contains hundreds of the most popular Shareware titles.

  131. easy on-line screens.  Just fill in the required information, and press the
  132. print button.  Or use the ADCREG.TXT text file included with this package.
