  1. WALKING ANIMATION FOR REHACK

  3. The 24x24 pixel animation frames in the accompanying file are
  4. designed to serve as templates for the characters in Rehack.
  5. They have not yet been tested, and so may require some fine
  6. tuning once they are animated.
  7.  
  8. The frames are laid out in rows.  Each row is designed to run
  9. from left to right in sequence.  Each succesive frame is designed
  10. with the assumption that the background has moved 6 pixels
  11. relative to the previous frame.  The first frame is identical to
  12. the last, however there are some subtle differences in the middle
  13. frames.

  15. The file uses the agreed upon palette for Rehack.  This palette
  16. causes some difficulty with programs like PC Paintbrush, since it
  17. remaps some of the colors that PC Paintbrush uses for menus and
  18. dialog boxes.  If you are using this file as a template, you may
  19. have to remap the palette in order to use your software.  Make
  20. sure you save the original palette first, so that you can reset
  21. it before uploading any work based on this file.
