- following limitations: (1) The working model will remain
- connected to a remote service or host for only thirty
- minutes at a time. (2) It will not transfer a file which is

- Terminal Plus Quick Start
- Installation
-
- To install Terminal Plus, follow these quick and easy steps.
- Approximately two megabytes of disk space are required for
- installation.

- 1. Start Windows.
- 2. Insert the Terminal Plus disk into the floppy drive (for
- those of you who downloaded the Terminal Plus working
- model, you will need to unzip all three files,
- TPLUS_1.ZIP, TPLUS_2.ZIP and TPLUS_3.ZIP into a
- directory or on a floppy)..
- 3. From the Program Manager, select the File menu, and
- choose the Run option [Alt]+[f],[r].
- 4. Type the drive name (or hard disk directory), a colon,
- and SETUP in the dialog box (e.g., a:setup or
- c:\dir\setup), and click "OK".
- 5. Type the path name of where you want Terminal Plus
- installed, or select "OK" if you wish for Terminal Plus
- to be installed in C:\TERMPLUS.
- 6. Select "OK", and the default selections will install ALL
- the Terminal Plus files. (You are not required to
- install all the files.)
- 7. Setup displays a gauge which indicates the progress of
- the installation and will ask for an additional disk if
- necessary.
- 8. After a successful installation, the Terminal Plus
- window will appear on the screen.
- 9. Configure your communications parameters. Designate the
- communications port to which your modem is attached
- (your choices are None, or COM 1,2,3,4), and then click
- "OK".
- 10.Choose the default modem speed to be used with the
- communications port, and click "OK".
- 11.Select the appropriate default modem from the list
- presented, and click "OK".
- 12.After you select your default modem, Setup asks whether
- it should test your modem. Select "Yes", if your modem
- is connected to the communications port and is on. If
- your modem is not presently connected, you may run the
- Setup script again from the toolbar after your modem is
- connected.
- 13.Next, Setup presents a few more options. Afterward,
- Setup offers a tutorial on how to use Terminal Plus.
- Click "Yes" for the Tutorial, or "No" to exit to
- Terminal Plus.
