  5. This Version 1.01 has only been an "interim" release to fix all major
  6. problems reported with WinRamp Lite 1.00b. These problems included (and
  7. that have now been addressed):
  8.  
  9. o   Zmodem file transfer speed ... now up to +-1570 cps with a good
  10.     V.32bis 14400 connection.
  11. o   Text-based emulations speed increase.
  12. o   RIPscrip "flood fill" speed increase.
  13. o   Support for disabling the Call Waiting telephone system feature.
  14. o   and a number of minor bugs.
  15.  
  16. We have however been working continued work towards Version 1.1 which
  17. will include two MAJOR features that will make WinRamp Lite highly
  18. competitive with commercial Windows communications packages:
  19.  
  20. o   A compilable BASIC-syntax Scripting Language.
  21. o   The addition of the VT52 thru VT220 terminal emulations which are
  22.     very important when acccessing Internet hosts.
  23.  
  24. The target release date for WinRamp Lite Version 1.1 is 14th August,
  25. just in time for the One BBSCON '94 in Atlanta starting on the 17th
  26. August 1994.

  28. We are committed to evolving WinRamp Lite at a steady pace right through
  29. to Version 1.9 by which time it is our intention for WinRamp Lite to be
  30. THE #1 Windows-based communications package available anywhere!
