  1. This disk contains 5 astronomy programs.
  2. Installing each is described in turn.

  4. Installing Binary
  5.  
  6. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  7.    and change to it.
  8.  
  9.    Eg:   C:
  10.          MD BIN
  11.          CD BIN
  12.  
  13. 2. From that drive and directory, run the BIN program from the floppy
  14.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:
  15.  
  16.    A:BIN
  17.  
  18.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  19.  
  20. 3. The program is now installed. Type BIN to run it.
  21.  
  22.    The program has no documentation, but its very simple to use.
  23.  
  24. Installing Ephemeris 4.2
  25.  
  26. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  27.    and change to it.
  28.  
  29.    Eg:   C:
  30.          MD EFEM
  31.          CD EFEM
  32.  
  33. 2. From that drive and directory, run the EFEM program from the floppy
  34.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:
  35.  
  36.    A:EFEM
  37.  
  38.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  39.  
  40. 3. The program is now installed. Type EPHEM to run it.

  43.    TYPE MAN.TXT |MORE

  45. Installing GALSAT4
  46.  
  47. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  48.    and change to it.
  49.  
  50.    Eg:   C:
  51.          MD GAL
  52.          CD GAL
  53.  
  54. 2. From that drive and directory, run the GAL program from the floppy
  55.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:

  57.    A:GAL
  58.  
  59.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  60.  
  61. 3. The program is now installed. Type GALSAT to run it.
  62.  
  63.   The program has no documentation, but is very simple to use.

  66. Installing STARWARE
  67.  
  68. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  69.    and change to it.

  71.    Eg:   C:
  72.          MD SWARE
  73.          CD SWARE
  74.  
  75. 2. From that drive and directory, run the GAL program from the floppy
  76.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:
  77.  
  78.    A:SWARE
  79.  
  80.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  81.  
  82. 3. The program is now installed. Type STAREMW to run it. If you have a
  83.    maths co processor, or 486DX, run STARWARE instead.

  85.   To view the documentation type:
  86.   TYPE STARREAD.ME |MORE
  87.  
  88. Installing VARIABLE RECORDER
  89.  
  90. 1. Make a directory on the drive you wish to install the program on,
  91.    and change to it.

  93.    Eg:   C:
  94.          MD RECVAR
  95.          CD RECVAR
  96.  
  97. 2. From that drive and directory, run the RECVAR program from the floppy
  98.    disk. For example, if the disk is in drive A type:

  100.    A:RECVAR
  101.  
  102.    This will unpack the files onto your hard disk.
  103.  
  104. 3. The program is now installed. Type RECORDER to run it.
  105.   
  106.    Documentation is in Finnish! But a little trial and error will
  107.    soon have you running.
