A collection of 36 Windows bitmap files, suitable for use as wallpaper.
These have been dithered down to 16 colours, so they use minimum memory,
and look good even with 16 colour displays. A selection of Astronomy and
Space Exploration subjects is provided.
Disk 02
Minor Planet Observer for Windows
This program provides extensive information for observing asteroids, and
will let you do such things as search for asteroids above a given magnitude
close to a given location. The program requires a fast machine (or maths
co-processor), and can use a lot of hard disk space for its work files.
Requires Windows.
Disk 03
Windows Astro Programs
This disk consists of 3 windows astronomy programs. Personal Observing Log
helps you keep track of observations, with thousands of objects already
defined. WINMEUSS makes accurate calculations of various phenmena, which you
can then copy and paste into other documents. GALAX is a windows galaxy
collision simulator.
Disk 04
Windows Astro Programs
This disk consists of n astronomy programs, and a library of icons.
ACLOCK is a clock which can show Siderial Time. Image Machine is an
image processing program which accepts NASA formats. Sky Planetarium is a
flexible windows planetarium program. MyStars is also a windows planetarium,
simpler but faster and perttier than Sky Planetarium.
Disk 05
Windows Astronomy Programs
This disk consists of a pair of Windows Astronomy programs. NEWTON is a graphic
gravity simulator. SKYMAP is a very configurable star charting program which
produces large attractive maps.
Disk 06
Sky Atlas 2000
This disk contains the excellent star chart program SKY ATLAS 2000. VGA
required, mouse recommended. The program has a huge database of 100000 stars
down to magnitude 8.6
Disk 07
SAO Charter.
This disk contains another star charting program with a 100000 star database.
Mouse not supported, less flexible but more colourful than SA 2000.
Disk 08
DOS Astronomy Programs
This disk contains 3 DOS astronomy programs. POL (Personal Observing Log)
is an excellent observers database, with many options, and thosands of
objects pre-defined in the database for you. STARPLOT is a program which
lets you feed in your own data files to produce finder charts or whatever.
SkyDraw is a star charting and planetarium program.
Disk 09
DOS Astronomy Programs
This disk contains 3 astronomy programs. CircumSpace is a program to tour
the solar neighborhood, by the author of SkyGlobe. Orthographic Earth
draws 3d views of the Earth from space. Stella is a colourful (lurid!) star
and deep sky plotting program that supports a mouse.
Disk 10
DOS Astronomy Programs
This disk contains 5 astronomy programs. EPHEM is an ephemeris program with C source code. BINARY will animate modelled binary stars, and graph the light
curve for you. GALSAT predicts and animates the positions of Jupiter's
moons. STARWARE is a colourful planetarium type program. RECORDER is a
variable star observation recorder.
Disk 11
Space Program .WAV's
A collection of 45 sound clips from America's space program, in .WAV format. Complete with index, and Speaker Driver, for those without sound cards.
Disk 12
DOS Astronomy Programs
Our Cosmohood is a program which provides rotating views of the layout of
the universe on the largest. Optics calculates telescope parameters, (with
PASCAL source code). Diff_Dra draws diffraction patterns to show how visible
double stars are. Eclipse is a very fast eclipse search program. JSSC is
a CGA Jovian Satellie program. PLANET gives details on planet locations.
SATMOON shows you the positions of Saturn's satellites. JMOONS is another
Jovian satellite program, and MOON provides you with the Moons phase.

This disk contains 5 DOS Astronomy programs. BlueSky is a star charting
program. Exposure works out the correct exposures to record astronomical
objects. MarsEGA predicts the positions of martian moons. CometView works
out the best times to observe comets. MoonFaze draws a graphic of the
phase of the Moon.
