  80.          If you use a wordprocessor frequently, you know how useful the
  81.          standard thesaurus included among its utilities is. When you
  82.          enter a word, it provides you with a handful of synonyms that
  83.          you use to better express your thoughts or simply avoid
  84.          repetition.

  86.          In many cases, however, your idea is not fully developed, or you
  87.          can't think of a suitable word to express it. You turn to your
  88.          conventional thesaurus for help . . . and you find that it is
  89.          insufficient to your needs.

  91.          YOU NEED A COMPLEMENTARY THESAURUS!

  93.          In these cases you need a thesaurus that places at your
  94.          disposal not only synonyms, but a wide range of conceptually
  95.          related words. It would not only enable you to find the
  96.          appropriate word, but also help you to further develop and
  97.          crystallize your thought.

  106.          word thesaurus, which in book form would require 10/20 heavy
  107.          volumes, respectively.

  153.          To print any of BesThes' DOC - REGISTER.DOC, BESTHES.DOC or
  154.        INSTALL.DOC - type at DOS command line:

  164.          Nothing is simpler than installing BesThes.
  165.  
  166.          BesThes consists of nine files:

  168.          1) BESTHES.COM, 2) BESTHES.DIC, 3) BESTHES.CDF, 4) BESTHES.DOC,
  169.          5) INSTALL.DOC,  6)OMBUDSMA.TXT, 7)REGISTER.DOC, 8)BW.BAT,
  170.          9) BESTHES.WND

  172.          Simply copy them to a specially created subdirectory. Also bear
  173.          in mind that:

  175.          1) The path cannot include extensions within the names of the
  176.          subdirectories, e.g.

  178.          C:\WORDPROC.ENG\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - wrong.
  179.  
  180.          C:\WORDPROC\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - correct.

  182.          2) The only workable drives are A, B and C, (if you have a DOS 6
  183.             DOUBLE-SPACED drive C you must copy BESTHES' files onto the
  184.             HOST drive of C).

  188.          3) If you have a partitioned fixed disk, you must place BesThes
  189.             in the first partition.

  193.          IMPORTANT! Don't change the names of BesThes' files.

  197.          BesThes may be loaded in the high memory, thus saving
  198.          conventional memory for other applications.

  202.                When calling it up for first time, BesThes may report that
  203.          its files are too fragmented. In this case, you must do the
  204.          following:

  208.          1) Rename the BesThes operative files.

  210.          2) Copy, or PKUNZIP for a second time the BesThes operative
  211.             files onto your fixed disk. Since the overly fragmented area
  212.             of your disk is now filled with the renamed files, the new
  213.             ones will be copied onto another area. (It doesn't matter if
  214.             you copy them in the same subdirectory or in a different
  215.             one.)

  217.          3) Try BesThes again. If it works, delete the renamed files,
  218.             and enjoy BesThes. If it doesn't - which is highly
  219.             improbable, repeat the procedure, copying BesThes onto a
  220.             third area of your disk.

  226.          it. Each BesThes screen includes a complete description of all

  244.          some users. We have tested Besthes successfully with QEMM

  247.          well as directly from QuarterDeck Office Systems.
