  55. Installation instructions
  56. -------------------------
  57. 1.  These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows 2000/XP Administrator
  58.     privileges.  Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft
  59.     Windows 2000/XP User's Manual for more information on Administrator
  60.     privileges.
  61.  
  62. 2.  Start Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.
  63.  
  64. 3.  From the Start menu, select Settings.
  65.  
  66. 4.  Select Control Panel.
  67.  
  68. 5.  Select System.
  69.  
  70. 6.  Select Device Manager.
  71.  
  72. 7.  Under Display adapters, select the name of the NVIDIA adapter you have
  73.     installed.  If you do not see a Display adapters option, or if your NVIDIA
  74.     adapter is not listed, under Other Devices, select Video Controller (VGA
  75.     Compatible).
  76.  
  77. 8.  Select the Driver tab.
  78.  
  79. 9.  Select Update Driver.
  80.  
  81. 10.  Select Next.
  82.  
  83. 11.  Select Next.
  84.  
  85. 12.  Verify that "Specify a location" has a check mark next to it.  If it does
  86.      not, click in the box next to "Specify a location" to place a check mark
  87.      in the box.  Select Next.
  88.  
  89. 13.  Enter the path to the NVIDIA drivers in the "Copy manufacturer's files
  90.      from:" dialog.  Select OK.
  91.  
  92. 14.  If you get a dialog box that states "A suitable driver for this device
  93.      is already installed.", click in the box next to "Install one of the
  94.      other drivers" to place a check mark in the box, then select Next.
  95.  
  96.      Otherwise, select Next, then proceed to step 16.
  97.  
  98. 15.  Select the following driver from the list.  NVIDIA RIVA TNT is used an
  99.      example; make sure to select your NVIDIA adapter from the list.
