  4. This is a System V implementation of the "mkfile" command introduced
  5. in Sun Microsystems' SunOS 4.0 operating system. I implemented it
  6. because I needed it. The implementation is not perfect, however, as
  7. I didn't have (and still don't have) access to a version of SunOS that
  8. has the "mkfile" command. Thus, the -v (verbose) option is unimplemented.
  9. The command accepts the option, but does nothing with it. And I am sure
  10. that other aspects of the command differ from the original.

  12. The command was written and tested on an Encore Multimax running the
  13. UMAX V operating system, release 2.2j with NFS, and should therefore
  14. run on other systems that claims to be compatible with at least
  15. release 2 of AT&T's SVID.
