  2.     This is the new NCR System Characterization Benchmark which has
  3.     been offered to all who want it. 
  4.  
  5.     The SCB posting consists of 4 sections (not the 3 I originally
  6.     stated).  The first consists of the basic config file, several 
  7.     shell scripts, and a consent letter which I would appreciate you
  8.     signing and returning to me by reqular mail.
  9.  
  10.     The "main" script will compile all of the .c programs and create
  11.     the test files for the disk tests.  The config file should be 
  12.     modified per the instructions in the "help" file, before running
  13.     any other files.
  14.  
  15.     The "runscb" file will run the scb benchmark and produce a graph.
  16.     The graph must be printed on a printer with 120 or more characters
  17.     per inch, 80 won't do it.
  18.  
  19.     You must have either an active terminal or a terminal emulator 
  20.     attached to each tty line you specify in the config file.  A 
  21.     terminal emulator consists of:

  23.         DTR ---- DSR
  24.         RTS ---- CTS ---- CD
  25.         TD  open
  26.         SD  open
  27.  
  28.     The second posting consists of all of the .c programs.
  29.  
  30.     Posting 3 consists of the full benchmark paper in NROFF format.

  32.     Posting 4 consists of the full benchmark paper in VI format.
