- ISSUING DOS COMMANDS FROM WITHIN PC-TYPE+
-
- As long as sufficient memory is still available, you may perform any
- DOS command you wish without exiting PC-TYPE+. To accomplish this,
- move the cursor to the Command Line by pressing the Esc key if you are
- not already on the Command Line.
-
- On the Command Line type the following and then press the Enter key:
-
- DOS DIR *.exe
-
- All the .EXE files on your current directory should be listed just as
- they normally would if you were in DOS itself. You are then prompted
- with the message:
- Press a letter key to continue ...
-
- At which point you will return to this editing session.
-
- Press the PgDn Key
-
- Any DOS command may be issued in this manner:
-
- (1) Move the cursor to the Command Line
- (2) Type DOS followed by a space and then the desired command
- (3) Then press the Enter key or F10.
- (4) When the command is completed and you are asked to press a
- letter key, do so and you will return to your editing session.
-
- Note: You may actually run any program in this manner without exiting
- PC-TYPE+. However, PC-TYPE+ and the file(s) you may be editing
- will still be in memory, so there may not be enough memory left
- to run large programs.
-
- If you had a program named PROG.EXE, you could run it without
- leaving PC-TYPE+ by typing
- DOS PROG
- on the Command Line.
-
- Press F4 to Return to the HELP Menu
-
